This project served as a playground for testing new functions in the early access of Unreal Engine 5, in particular Lumen Global Illumination and Reflections. Credit for the 3D model of the Porsche 911 by Singer goes to Szymon Kubicki who did an incredible job and was kind enough to provide this model. I extended it a bit by adding some more details, did some UV adjustments and prepared it for the use in Unreal Engine. Almost all the materials were created in UE5, the ones where I needed details in the exact place were made in Substance Painter.
The car physics and motion were done in Cinema 4d and exported to Unreal Engine to be combined with various camera movements and further car body animations. In conclusion Unreal Engine 5 will still need some improvements, especially regarding reflections (for moving objects in particular) but I'm sure this will be fixed in future releases.
